Entering the professional music industry in 1998, Shannon Hope joined Durban-based acoustic folk rock band Caffeine Substitute on keyboards and backing vocals behind lead singer Meghan McRae. Following a 4 track demo EP in 1999 entitled “Celsius”, the band released the full-length studio album “For Medicinal Purposes Only” in 2000.
One of the bands’ singles, “Little Evils”, was featured on the Splashy Fen 25th anniversary double-disc compilation album in 2015, available on iTunes.
